Objectives:

Provide an opportunity to gain marketing experience in the pharmaceutical industry while solving for a strategic business need.

Description:

This internship provides an opportunity to drive significant business impact on the fastest-growing, second-largest, brand at Novartis in a dynamic environment with several new competitors on the horizon. The intern will be an integral part of the Entresto brand team and will help find solutions to some of the brand’s most pressing business questions. The primary project for this intern would be to understand and evaluate untapped Health Care Professional (HCP) segments to identify growth opportunities for the brand.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Evaluate HFrEF and HFpEF opportunity (influence, prescribing) with HCP segments such as PCPs, NPs, PAs, and pharmacy.

Develop expanded patient journey with the HCP group, influence map, and opportunities/barriers to engage Analyze for each indication as well as across Cardiology and PCP offices

Integrate market research reports and customer data into the analysis for actionable insights

Create optimized message map for the high opportunity HCP group

Recommend a tactical plan to achieve the objectives

Key deliverables: Presentation of their research and recommendation with a proposed plan to the brand team.

Business Impact: The summer intern will serve as a fresh set of eyes on an existing business problem. They will bring new learnings and thinking from their graduate program to the brand’s strategic needs such as:

Minimum requirements:

Candidate should be in an accredited degree-granting college or university pursuing a graduate degree. Student of advanced university degree (MS, MBA) in life sciences, business, or equivalent

  • Demonstrated Leadership skills

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Results driven with fast action orientation and a sense of urgency to accomplish goals

  • Understands how to work in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
