is seeking a self-driven and motivated professional to join their Implantable
Medical Devices (IMD) Program Management team, located in Pocatello,
Idaho. As a Program Management Intern
you will have the opportunity to help in market analysis to seek out and define
new customers, help in project management for existing designs, and help
perform activities to meet requirements to define, complete, and transfer
products to production. These activities
could include working with cross-functional teams to define requirements,
performing the necessary documentation to meet product transfer requirements,
and working with design teams to complete checklists and monitor that work is

Management team works closely together to complete tasks; and therefore, the
team has a friendly and cooperative atmosphere.
Our group is small and we all have and need a willingness to step in and
help where needed. We also work
individually with customers and on assignments were we need to take 100% of the
initiative to complete the tasks. With
these two areas in mind, collaborative and individual work, we are looking for
an individual that can step up to take on tasks, be willing to help where
required, and be self-motivating to complete tasks.
This opportunity will ask a student
to have the following performance objectives:
Perform documentation andchecklist activities to meet ON Semiconductor’s New Product Development(NPD) requirements. Theserequirements will be different based upon the type of project; andtherefore, you will work closely with the other Program Managers to outlinethe necessary tasks to meet these objectives.
Collaborativelymeet with Program Managers and customers to discover customer needs andwork to meet required actions for the customer in the allotted time.
Helpsupport external customers in their use of ON Semiconductor’s tools andprocedures. This could involvediscussions with the customer to determine their needs and working withthe tool vendors and other ON Semiconductor cross-functional teams to keeptooling up to date and delivered to the customer in a timely manner.
Assist inmarket analysis and working with Sales to help discover businessopportunities and leads.
In order to be considered for an
internship, you must be a student currently enrolled in school
pursuing an accredited degree program. This position is specifically looking
for an individual with a technical background with a goal to move more into the
Project Management and business aspects of the corporation. For example, a Bachelor in EE, IS, CE, CS
that is currently seeking an MBA.
Documentation in this position iskey, from taking notes of interactions with customers and cross-functionalteams, documenting product requirements and objectives, and writtencommunication with customers and other teams.Keen attention to detail along with excellent writing skills isnecessary.
Along the same lines as writtenskills you must have an ability to effectively communicate verbally with othermembers of the team, with our customers, and with other teams within ONSemiconductor. As a Program ManagingIntern a large portion of your job will be to coordinate the work between thesedisparate teams; therefore, clear verbal communication is necessary to make sureall understand the objectives correctly.
We are looking for an individual thathas completed their Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and is movingforward with a degree towards Program Management (MBA, Master’s Certificate inProgram Management, PMP certification).
Should haveexperience with Project Management software such as Microsoft project, Ganttcharts.
It would bepreferred to have some experience managing a project from start to finish wheregoals were set, a formal project plan was created, critical path analysis wasperformed, and requirements were formally defined, completed, and presented.
