This position is an excellent starting point for a sales career or other opportunities at Orchard Software, and the primary duty of this entry-level inside sales position is working via the telephone to generate and cultivate sales leads that turn into appointments and product demonstrations. This position is designed to expose you to the laboratory information system industry.A Sales Coordinator works closely with the marketing department and the sales reps in their territories to generate and nurture leads. As part of the lead generation and nurturing process, you will utilize a sales/contact manager database (CRM) to target and document prospecting activity. ACCOUNTABILITIES: %Accountabilities75%Calling targeted lists of prospective customers (In-bound & Out-bound calls) Speaking to Prospects to generate leads that turn into demos; documentation in CRM (SLX) and relaying to respective Sales Representative. 25%Monitoring and responding to the Orchard Voicemail and email accountsDIRECTLY SUPERVISES: (List number and positions supervised.)Individual contributorJOB REQUIREMENTS: (List minimum requirements for this position; those each incumbent should have to be hired. Experience with SalesLogix by Sage or other sales/contact management database a plus. Previous lead generation, sales, and/or account management experience a plus. Knowledge/Skills: Able to speak comfortably over the telephone to generate and nurture sales leads; Excellent written and oral communications skills. Self-motivated and goal oriented; capable of multi-tasking and working with a variety of people. Strong computer skills are required with experience with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of the clinical laboratory and/or the LIS industry a plus.Physical Demands/Working Environment: Typical office environment, Able to sit and do computer work.
