For more information, visit www.permapipe.com. We are seeking an Accounting intern to work in our Spring, Texas office up to 20 hours per week during Fall semester 2021. Work is expected to be performed onsite, but hours are flexible (between 8am-5pm Monday through Friday).
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Partners with Accounting Manager and Corporate Controller to work on corporate strategic projects that enhance our process and policy documentation, task management, customer management, and overall accounting function.
- Performs other duties/ projects as assigned or as required by the position.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS/REPORTING: Works with Chief Financial Officer, Corporate Controller, Accounting Manager, Director of Financial Planning and Analysis and others within the PERMA-PIPE corporate office as necessary. Reports to Accounting Manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have legal authorization to work in the US currently and in the future. Must also be able to demonstrate proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
EDUCATION: Full or part time undergraduate students currently enrolled in Accounting program who have completed a minimum of 24 semester hours and minimum 3.0 GPA.
EXPERIENCE: Professional experience in business is desired but not required.
QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS: Attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, computer proficiency with particular emphasis on Excel, works well in a team environment.

· EQUIPMENT TO BE USED: Must be able to operate computer and other office machines such as fax, calculator, telephone, photocopier, and other office equipment as the job requires.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires sitting, bending, and reaching. May require lifting up to 25 pounds. Requires manual agility sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax, calculator, telephone, and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
MENTAL DEMANDS: Must handle diverse work problems on a daily basis. Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressure. Must relate and interact with people at all levels in the Company.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Works in a typical office setting, Monday through Friday, onsite at our corporate office in Spring, Texas. Days and hours can be flexible to accommodate student’s schedule.
