Intern – MBA Summer Associate, Hearth Rhythm Management – Colorado Springs or San Diego – Summer 2021
Are you interested in a MBA Intern opportunity with Philips? We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an MBA to participate in 3-month paid internship opportunity. Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience in Management Development for a HealthTech company.
In this role, you have the opportunity to
The Summer Business Associate will be expected to lead a 10-12 week project working closely with the senior management team on a critical operational or strategic initiative. Successful completion of the summer internship may lead to a full-time employment opportunity in the IGT Devices Management Development Program (MDP).
You are responsible for
The MDP is designed for MBA candidates seeking to enhance their leadership skills and accelerate their career path towards a general management or functional leadership position in the medical technology industry. The program is comprised of:
Three functional rotation assignments completed over 2-3 years
One-on-one mentorship from senior executives
Personalized training and development curriculum
Rotation assignments can occur in any functional area and will be determined jointly by the candidate and the company with the objective of leveraging a candidate’s existing strengths while also providing opportunities for development. Example rotational opportunities include the following:
Marketing – upstream and downstream
Strategic Planning and Business Development – deal support, market assessments
Finance – budgeting, strategic planning support, systems and processes
Operations – manufacturing, planning and global operations including Volcano’s new manufacturing facility in Costa Rica
International – supporting Volcano’s major OUS operations in Europe and Japan
Each MDP candidate will be assigned a senior executive sponsor who will mentor the candidate throughout the program.
In addition to experiential and mentor-based learning, the MDP will offer each candidate formal development training including comprehensive product and clinical education, access to industry events and thought leaders, leadership workshops, and Philips online training courses.
At the completion of the MDP, the candidate will work with their executive sponsor and the company to identify a suitable leadership opportunity within Philips.
