PROS Implementation Consultants are trusted advisors combining configuration and business expertise to guide our customers through the process of software implementation to achieve value through improved digital selling capabilities.
Implementation Consultants start their journey with a cohort of colleagues that undergo training in multiple software products before being placed on projects to support customers in various industries, including global implementations for some of the largest companies in the world. A Day in the Life of the Implementation Consultant – About the Role:
Configure software to meet customer requirements in accordance with solution designs and other best practices – this involves translating non-technical requirements into technical configuration steps, troubleshooting issues, and testing configuration
Meet with customers and internal teams to discuss status, plan work, understand requirements, resolve problems, and answer questions
Support internal project processes to keep projects within scope, under budget, and on-time
Document configuration and keep organized records of decisions made
Demo configuration to customers and train users on capabilities of software
Work with other experts at PROS to jointly troubleshoot issues
Deliver configured software that facilitates customer success
Support customers through project milestones, including kickoff, configuration verifications, and acceptance testing
Contribute to internal initiatives outside your role to improve the organization and support the growth of your teammates

Able to travel to customer sites up to 50% (typically ~25%, but can vary 0-50%).
The defining quality of successful Implementation Consultants is an ability to blend technical and customer-facing skills. This is a unique combination that requires someone who is able to communicate with customers to understand their needs, dive into the details of technical configuration to build a solution, then present the technical configuration to a non-technical audience and explain how it will solve their problems.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
Experience with technical tools/languages: JavaScript, SQL, Linux, XML, or others
Experience building and analyzing datasets
Knowledge of ERP and CRM concepts
Understanding of Pricing and/or Revenue Management
Education:
BS/BA – analytical/technical major preferred: computer science, information systems, data analytics, math, statistics, finance, economics, engineering, or business administration
