Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Data Scientist to our location in Renton, WA or remotely from any location in the US.
The Data Scientist will analyze large amount of raw information to find patterns, undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data, he or she will also work with healthcare claims, Electronic Medical Record (EMR), vendor and other healthcare data. The Data Scientist will build predictive models, experimental design and web analytics, machine learning algorithm using advance technologies to support Population Health initiatives. He or she will work closely with Data Engineers and establish the entire project life cycle; designing data, machine learning solution, testing and roll-out in an Azure cloud environment.
In this position you will:
Lead the data clean up process and management of data structures, processes and algorithms to support population health risk arrangements and government programs
Develop data processing methods for ingesting, processing, storing and reporting with healthcare claims from payers, Electronic Medical Record, vendor, and other healthcare data
Lead the regression (linear/logistic/regularized) for Web Analytics Machine Learning in Azure Cloud, time series forecasting, and other machine learning techniques to support Population Health eligibility and claims processing in cloud
Build Azure data pipeline and establish data processing standards for the Pop Health Informatics team
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Health Informatics, MPH, MBA, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent educ/experience
2 years Strong experience querying large datasets using SQL, Python and/or scala Python, Jupyter Notebook, NumPy, Pandas, Dask, Matplotlib/Seaborn, and Apache Spark
Preferred qualification for this position include:
2 years experience working with healthcare claims and/or Electronic Medical Record billing data
2 years experience working in Microsoft Azure
2 years experience with SciPy, Scikit-learn (SKLearn), Java,TensorFlow/Keras, and Dockers
2 years data architecture experience, including data ingestion, processing, storage and reporting in a big data environment
Microsoft Azure Certifications (e.g. Associate Data Engineer)
