Position Overview
We are seeking an Accounting Project Manager Intern to join our growing team. This unique role combines elements of entrepreneurship, project management, and small business finance support. The position offers direct mentorship under our Managing Partner (CPA) and is ideal for 4th and 5th year accounting students seeking CPA licensing experience requirements.

The role offers exposure to both technical accounting and strategic business operations, providing invaluable experience in how finance drives business success.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
– Assist in monthly financial statement preparation and review
– Conduct account reconciliations and financial analysis
– Support 13-week cash flow forecasting and modeling
– Participate in developing management reporting packages
Project Management
– Coordinate with offshore team members and review their work
– Support system integration projects and accounting technology implementations
– Assist in managing core accounting processes:
– Record to Report
– Order to Cash
– Procure to Pay
– Payroll operations
– Cash management
– Sales & Use Tax compliance
Business Development & Client Relations
– Participate in client presentations and meetings
– Assist in customer prospecting activities
– Attend industry networking events
– Support client onboarding and relationship management
Required Qualifications
– Current enrollment in 4th or 5th year of accounting program
– Strong academic performance in accounting and finance coursework
– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
– Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
– Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
– Prior internship experience in accounting or finance
– Knowledge of major accounting software platforms
– Experience with data analysis and financial modeling
– Project management experience or coursework
Technical Requirements
– Dedicated home office space suitable for professional video calls
– Reliable high-speed internet connection
– Proficiency with video conferencing platforms
– Willingness to learn new technology tools and systems
