Position Purpose:
This position assists with a variety of assigned projects under the guidance of senior staff who will review and oversee any work product or project. The position will develop an understanding of the assigned department and health care administration profession.
Nature and Scope:
The Business intern will assist with programming projects for the Spiritual Care Department and for the Spiritual Center. Some of the duties will include:

Interfaith community clergy partnership initiative

Multi-faith resource project for the Spiritual Center

Standard work library project
During the internship, the intern will also participate in direct spiritual care in the clinical setting, working with chaplain mentors.
This internship is designed to coincide with Unit 1 CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education) course of the candidate’s choosing, which is required for providing basic spiritual care in the clinical setting. Therefore, the candidate must be enrolled or coordinate enrollment for CPE to start and end during the time of the internship (Jan. through June 2021).
Additionally, the intern will participate in a 10-week spiritual care lesson program with chaplain mentors that involves clinical time spent on the floor with patients, patient families, and employees, as learning to chart in the electronic medical record.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English.Junior or Senior class standing in pursuit of bachelors in business, or MBA students. College-level knowledge of the English language, including the ability to read, write, and speak English at college level.
Experience: Previous experience in a business environment helpful, but not necessary.

Computer/Typing:Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc. 40 WPM.
