Return to Freedom (RTF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1991. Return to Freedom is dedicated to the freedom and diversity of wild horses and burros through sanctuary, education, advocacy, and conservation, while enriching the human spirit through direct experience with the natural world.
We are looking for an outgoing, organized and creative self-starter who can regularly update our website on WordPress, work with communications, development staff and webmaster to edit content on current site and move content from existing website to new website. Other tasks may include editing videos for social media& website, organizing photography & video library.
Confidence working in WordPress is necessary. Knowledge of Lightroom for organizing media library, writing, graphic creation and video editing are key skills, as is fluency in Mac and PC, internet-based programs and applications – especially having a finger on the pulse of both current and new social media platforms.
Applicable educational background, experience or a combination of education and experience may include communications, marketing, graphic design, website design, public relations, journalism, English, library science and political science. Photography and videography skills are a bonus, as is knowledge of horses, horse behavior and interest / experience in wildlife or wild horse advocacy.
Coordinate with advocacy and development staff on web / social media content.
Update web content.
Move current website content to new site in development
Organize media archives in Lightroom.
Edit existing video for use on website, social media.
Other items as assigned.
Proficiency in WordPress , iMovie or similar video editing apps.
Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social media platforms (current, trending and new)Working knowledge of HTML and web publishing.
Experience / interest in website design.
Experience / interest in graphic design.
Ability to communicate ideas well and work collaboratively.
Excellent attention to detail and time management.
