Position Profile
The Merchandising analyst is responsible for executing a profitable and customer focused merchandising strategy across all web properties. This role will work cross functionally with other segments of the business (Marketing/IT/Operations/Sales) to develop a promotional and pricing roadmap that furthers the business objectives of Ricoh Corporation.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Execution of promotional and content changes on the site
- Assist with management of promotional calendar
- Work with testing and analytics team to analyze weekly site metrics and determine short term actions to improve results
- Review relative market price positioning for your product category to ensure competitiveness and work with pricing team for any necessary changes
- Publishing content to site via CMS
- Analyzing traffic patterns and optimizing channels to drive maximum campaign effectiveness
- Working collaboratively with sales organization to gather feedback from sales team and customers about potential changes to the site
- Work closely with product management team to understand features of products and help develop appropriate marketing messaging
- Manage required information for new and existing items including product specs, images, features and pricing
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-3 years demonstrable experience in online marketing/merchandising field
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- XML, HTML, CMS experience preferred
- MS Office
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant business discipline (MBA Preferred)
- Adept at relationship building through all levels of the organization
- Bachelors degree in marketing, finance, or other business discipline (MBA preferred)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- 1-2 years of merchandising experience in an omni-channel environment required
- Solid understanding of key web analytics used to manage on-line business
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Experience with customer segmentation, profiling, and targeting
- Experience with A/B testing, survey, and CMS tools
- Proven ability to deliver results and prioritize tasks in a fast-moving, dynamic environment
- Experience of working on high-profile product launches, especially within a consumer electronics or retail environment
- Track record of attention to detail
