APEX – Analyst I
Analyst I will provide operations support for multiple business units that facilitate the acquisition and oversight of multibillion dollar real estate portfolios on behalf of investors. There will be competitive opportunity to gain direct training from senior level management with interaction from executive management levels, including the CEO and other C-Suite executives. Some functions the Analyst I will be responsible for will influence technology development, analytical reporting, risk decisions, collateral valuation, and market trending as well as being an integral part of multimillion-dollar investment advisory firm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
· Gains an understanding of legal documents such as purchase agreements, servicing agreements and financing vehicle specifications
· Assists with various department tasks and analytical reporting requirements
· Supports secondary and capital market functions
· Assists with oversight of servicing data month over month and identifies data conflicts or changes to strategies that will influence Return On Investment (ROI) for the investor
· Establishes knowledge of trust structures, REMIC eligibility and assists with processing trust movements on RMC asset managed portfolios
· Collaborates with the trading desk and through due diligence identifies risk tiers at an asset and portfolio level
· Develops understanding of risk issues that could potentially trigger a repurchase or claim
· Assists in comparing data from various vendors, valuations, and sellers
· Gains knowledge of all proprietary and other data applications relevant to Servicing, Capital Markets, and Capital Markets Operations
· Gathers business requirements between business and technology development, analytics and data reporting
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, nimble environment
· Displays capacity to read and understand loan documents
· Becomes familiar with standard residential mortgage loan data fields
· Exhibits effective interpersonal and oral/written communication skills
· Demonstrates self-motivation, time-management and organization skills (includes planning, presentation and prioritization ability)
· Sound decision-making and problem solving skills
· Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, pivot tables, formulas, etc.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor’s Degree
· Analytical experience preferred
