Expertise in digital content creation using Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Spark, Canva and similar tools and mobile apps
Proficiency with leading social media management tools like Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Creator Studio and similar tools
Exceptional writing skills, attention to detail and an eye for crafting compelling copy
Familiarity working within established brand guidelines
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or a related field.

High School diploma.
Two (2+) or more yars of experience developing social content across major platforms, including experience with apps such as Canva, Adobe Spark, Combin and designing and editing programs with Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, etc.
Knowledge of: Current relevant social content platforms; content management systems; networking tools; design and editing programs (e.g. Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop); relevant apps such as Canva, Adobe Spark, Combin, etc.
Skill to: Creatively design and publish digital content; develop, frame and tell the SMUD story to different audiences; establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders; effectively communicate using multiple mediums; prioritize based on urgency; manage multiple projects and/or priorities; research trends; implement innovative solutions; deliver results with a fast turnaround and tight deadlines.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Create original/daily social content that authentically represents SMUD and SMUD’s brand across all of our social platforms including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, etc.
Keep up to date on trends to create "socially native" digital content that maintains and/or enhances SMUD’s brand with social audiences through innovative story telling.
Photograph, film, edit, design and animate social content; create images, videos, illustrations, logos and other needed visual materials.
Keep up to date on emerging technologies used to create low cost, social-first creative.
Monitor and identify online conversations SMUD should engage in and interact with including social media channels and blogs.
Monitor online competitive landscape.
Align work with project briefs; collaborate with key stakeholders;
Communicate and reinforce SMUD’s Diversity and Inclusion initiatives throughout social media campaigns
Other related duties as assigned.
