We are currently in search of an HR Generalist to support our Easton, PA Facility. This full time position offers medical, dental and vision benefits, Paid Time Off, a generous 50% off discount on Scholastic merchandise, and a 401k with company match.
Qualified candidates will be able to perform HR-related administrative duties and carry out some or all functions (employee relations, training, employment, payroll/worker compensation/benefits administration) with minimal supervision. Assist Human Resources Manager and Director to act as business partner to functional managers and senior leaders in assigned regional/branch territories and implement programs that promote positive employee relations
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Partners with HRM to provide employees and managers with first line communications on daily issues/questions on various HR policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations
Leads recruitment activities for salaried, hourly positions, supports/participates in job fairs, open houses, college recruitment. Sources/screens candidates for hourly, exempt/non-management jobs. Ensures background investigations, drug testing and/or reference checks are completed. Ensures compliance with applicant flow record keeping requirements.
Administers HR processes (new hire, employee change transactions, terminations, seasonal leave). Maintains databases to include but not limited to tracking job openings, employee referrals, safety, OFCCP mandated applicant data.
Assists HRM with employee relations issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations by conducting internal investigations as necessary.
Conducts employee climate assessments/roundtables as necessary.
Facilitates and provides training (including new hire orientation, onboarding, benefit open enrollment) to employees. Facilitates management/employee training with minimum supervision.
Supports biweekly payroll processing (entering time off requests) for HRM approval.
BA/BS Degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
Problem solving skills.
Blingual in Spanish a plus
Advanced Microsoft office skills
Customer service orientation.
Willing to stay current on all federal and state labor laws, EEOC, OSHA, and DOT regulations.
Creative approach to recruiting and retention.
