Essential Duties and Responsibilities1. Work collaboratively with the Government Affairs team on a wide range of projects to support SEL’s core business priorities and public policy goals.2. Collect, organize, and report on congressional activity.3. Research and report on policy initiatives for their impacts on SEL.4. Assist with scheduling and preparing congressional outreach meetings for Government Affairs team and Executives.5. Attend, participate, and report on internal and external meetings.6. Assist with special projects as needed.7. Understand. Create. Simplify.8. Other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsPursuing a degree in Political Science, History, Public Relations, Economics, or a related fieldFunctional knowledge of common business software toolsDemonstrated organizational and communication skillsExcellent writing, documentation and speaking skillsAbility to learn new skills and assume new responsibilitiesAbility to work cooperatively in a team environmentBackground check results satisfactory to SELPreferred QualificationsExperience with Capitol HillPhysical RequirementsNone
