Job Description

Our company is looking for an eager sales and marketing intern to support an accomplished entrepreneur in developing and executing sales and marketing strategies, marketing and social media campaigns, customer engagement, managing a sales funnel through to conversion, in addition to collecting and interpreting marketing analytics. The marketing intern will be working closely with the owner to develop and implement marketing plans and strategies for multiple business brands.  This position is great for someone who is interested in expanding their marketing abilities and growing with a startup business. As a successful hire, you will be tasked with helping identify marketing trends and opportunities for business growth.

To be chosen for this role, you must have effective written and verbal communication skills, be highly creativity and have the ability to develop engaging marketing collateral and must be willing and able to engage with client and users. Prior work experience in sales, or marketing is a plus.

 

Job summary

Marketing intern helps plan and execute marketing plan:

Responsibilities/ Duties

Assisting in organizing campaigns and developing marketing strategies.
Conduct market research and analyze consumer rating reports/ questionnaires
Employ marketing analytics techniques to gather important data (social media, web analytics, rankings etc.)
Assist in the organizing of promotional events and traditional or digital campaigns and attend them to facilitate their success
Compose and post online content on the company’s website and social media accounts
Write marketing literature (brochures, press releases etc) to augment the company’s presence in the market
Creating detailed and visually appealing graphs and present them to business decision-makers
Overseeing the design and graphics of marketing materials
Conducting market research to better understand the marketing needs of the organization and its target audience
checking voicemails, emails, and social media inquiries for company accounts, forwarding messages appropriately.
Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of business activities
Helping identify marketing trends and key opportunities for innovation.
Learning and working with various types of software for digital marketing.
Understanding company product and brand.
Creating and interpreting a variety of reports.
Organizing market research.
Analyzing questionnaires and other forms of feedback.
Updating social media accounts.
Qualifications/ requirements

Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills are important in the Marketing intern role. They regularly need to collaborate with other team members to understand marketing needs.
Creativity: Creativity allows the Marketing intern to create visually appealing images and marketing materials, making it a very useful to the marketing purposes.
Analytical: Marketing intern is often involved in the research and reporting of marketing campaign results. Analytical skills enable the Marketing intern when compiling data and presenting it in an easy-to-understand method.
Project management: Marketing intern are often involved with multiple projects at one time. The ability to organize details and complete projects in a timely manner is crucial in this position.
Organizational skills: Organization and prioritization are the core elements of the Marketing intern’s responsibilities. You must know how to keep yourself and others organized and how to determine which tasks are the most important in a given list.
Writing: Spelling, punctuation, sentence structure and writing are essential to a Marketing intern, who must be proficient in a variety of styles, from creative to professional to technical to education and more.
Decision-making: Marketing intern has to make independent decisions on a daily basis, addressing the best way to handle specific tasks.

Good understanding of marketing principles
Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach
Good knowledge of market research techniques and databases
Exquisite communication and people skills
Sales and marketing assistant experience.
A high level of attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
Digital marketing experience.

Minimum: 1 year

Education

High School diploma; BS in Marketing, Business or relevant field is a strong advantage

Skills

Microsoft office, Canva, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram,

Bilingual: preferred (Spanish)

Hour: 20hrs/ Week  (more as needed)

Duration: Contract (as needed)
