ABOUT THE ROLE
Successful, growing organizations require strong People functions and that has never been more true than today. At Stitch Fix, we are striving to build a People & Culture (P&C) organization that continually innovates in how we inspire and develop our 10,000+ employees to be their best selves and do their best work. To that end, the People & Culture Enablement team has been built to harness the talents and expertise from outside of the traditional People space and bring those perspectives and skills to bear on high impact, critical P&C initiatives.
The P&C Enablement team is composed of members with business operating, strategy and management consulting experience to work with leadership across all P&C teams to maximize our impact on Stitch Fix and our employees. Stitch Fix is seeking an MBA summer intern to bring a sharp problem solving acumen, collaboration and creativity to drive people and organizational outcomes that directly impact our business outcomes as we continue to build a P&C team that gives Stitch Fix a competitive advantage as we grow and evolve.
Reporting directly to the Director, P&C Enablement, this is a US remote-based intern contract role available to current MBA students. The internship will take place in summer 2021 for a duration of 12 weeks between June-August 2021.
YOU’RE EXCITED ABOUT THIS ROLE BECAUSE:
The People & Culture Enablement team focuses on leading problem definition and strategy development for new P&C priorities that do not easily fit with any one P&C team, particularly projects that require external benchmarking, research, data analysis.
The MBA summer internwill lead 1-2 high impact P&C initiatives that require high coordination and collaboration with peers and stakeholders across the People & Culture team and broader company to execute. Examples of projects include:

Assessing our current technology platforms and tools and new potential vendors against our organizational needs as we design our People & Culture tech stack of the future

Partnering with our People Science and Analytics team to create tools that empower other P&C leaders and team members to make their programs and initiatives more successful and connected
-
Developing a framework, with our Business Partner org, for our global operating model examining our existing programs, processes, and practices, identifying opportunities for impact and improvement

Perform ‘competitive intelligence’ in researching and staying current with best practices, innovations and trends in people practices among peer companies and in our industry

THE PERSPECTIVE AND EXPERIENCE YOU BRING INCLUDES:

Several years of consulting experience in management, strategy or human capital/organization, or commensurate ‘in-house’ experience at a large, complex organization with a focus on strategic projects and change management

Experience managing cross-functional, multi-quarter projects and/or enterprise-wide program design and management (i.e., ‘PMO’ experience)
-
Professional experience with business analytics (i.e. using Microsoft Excel with large datasets) and communicating insights through memo and Powerpoint
-
(Strongly Preferred) Previous experience in a Strategic Human Resources role or functions such as People Analytics, Recruiting Operations, Program Management at a large, complex organization

(Strongly Preferred) Previous experience in technology or retail/e-commerce sectors
