The Catalyst, Growth and Innovation will be an innovation practitioner in Fortive’s organic growth incubator, the Growth Accelerator. This leader will develop and deploy this growth and innovation process across Tektronix, one of Fortive’s largest operating companies, with the objective of accelerating the organization’s organic revenue growth. Furthermore, the Catalyst, Growth and Innovation will evangelize innovation tools, process, and methodology, and contribute to creating an innovation culture and mindset across the Tektronix organization, leading development both of people and of process.
The Catalyst, Growth and Innovation will train and coach both junior Catalysts enabling the Growth Accelerator and multi-functional teams participating in the Growth Accelerator to pursue the most critical organic growth opportunities using the Growth Accelerator framework, a process of immersive customer engagement and rapid experimentation. The candidate will also develop the culture and mindset of innovation by leading innovation-related activities across the organization, such as ideation sessions, innovation conferences, and experimentation sprints. The Catalyst, Growth and Innovation will bring both a great passion and deep expertise in customer ethnography and business development and an ability to execute and deliver business impact.
Candidate must be able to travel globally to teams 40% of the time.

The ideal candidate open-minded, action-oriented, and be an experienced and exceptional innovation practitioner with a demonstrated ability to derive insights from customer ethnography and hypothesis-driven experimentation. This candidate will be able to structure ambiguous, multi-faceted business problems into logical and actionable experiments and communicate the impact to both their teams and to senior leaders. This candidate must also be able to develop deep empathy with both customers and with team members; and couple a competitive desire to achieve impact and win with a passion for mentorship, teaching, and fostering genuine team caring. This candidate must be able to inspire teams to achieve new levels of performance and lead teams through change. Professional Background & Experience:
Prior experience as an ethnographer and/or in business development at an innovation lab, growth accelerator/incubator, innovation group within a larger organization, early-stage startup, and/or design and innovation firm.
A Master’s of Business Administration with a focus on Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Strategy, and/or Marketing, or a Master’s degree in Customer Experience or Design Thinking, or commensurate work experience.
A Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technical field, such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, etc.
Executive presence and technical depth to function as a mentor/advisor and deliver training across Tektronix globally.
Experience building positive relationships with peers and senior leaders to ensure open communication and delivery of impact.
Demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo and consistently seek opportunities to innovate and re-engineer processes to improve Fortive’s ability to innovate in the best way.
Demonstrated ability to mentor and grow junior team members.
Demonstrated ability to solve complex business challenges using VOC and experimentation, with a deep connection to the consumer as well as a grounding in market, business and technical environments
