Texas Independent Exploration (TIE) is a mid-sized privately held Oil and Gas E&P and is actively looking for a full cycle Oil & Gas Staff Accountant in our Houston, TX office. Must be a self-starter, detail oriented, able to multi-task, and capable of growing with the company. This position is contract to hire after 60 days. and onsite (hybrid is currently not optional).
The essential job duties include, but are not to be limited to the following:
- AP Processing
- Revenue entry, accrual, and distribution
- Owner account maintenance & transfer
- Lease Operating Expense analysis
- Bank reconciliations for depository accounts
- Reconcile all balance sheet accounts and subledgers; reviewing for input accuracy and prepare monthly reports and journal entries as needed
- Prepare monthly financial statements, including cash flow statement and depletion calculations
- AP filing and organization of supporting documents
Minimum Qualifications:
- 0-2 year’s applicable experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills; accuracy and timeliness are essential
- Ability to cooperate with all levels of employees, management and external agencies
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Self-motivated and willingness to work in fast-paced environment
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- 10 key by touch
- Experience with WolfPac or OGSYS as well as Energylink integration preferred.
