The Walt Disney Company’s Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution (DMED) is a global, multiplatform media, technology, and distribution organization for high-quality content created by Disney’s Studio Entertainment and Media Networks Groups.
DMED includes Disney’s international media operations and the Company’s direct-to-consumer businesses globally, including the upcoming Disney-branded direct-to-consumer streaming service, the Company’s ownership stake in Hulu, and the ESPN+ sports streaming service, programmed in partnership with ESPN. BAMTECH Media, developer of the ESPN+ and Disney-branded streaming platforms, oversees all consumer-facing digital technology and products across the Company as part of the Direct-to-Consumer and International segment.
Responsibilities:
A Day in the Life:
The Intern will be a strong contributor supporting financial planning and analysis activities for consolidation of the International Channels business and will serve as a business partner and point of contact for the Europe & Africa region and two channel genres, Family & Sports. In this role, the intern will consolidate and coordinate the forecasts, AOP and 5YP for the Family & Sports genres and related cash flow. The candidate for this position will be comfortable with large amounts of data and be able to analyze proficiently in order to derive succinct conclusions.

What You Bring to the Role:

2 to 4 years of general work experience with at least 1 to 2 years of applicable experience

Demonstrated experience with consolidation, budgeting, forecast planning and variance analysis for large complex organizations

Advanced proficiency in excel to perform financial modeling and quantitative analysis

Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills

Excellent communication skills (oral, written and business presentations) and ability to interact with many levels of individuals within an organization

Ability to flex and adapt work schedule to changing business demands and an international client group

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to prioritize & handle multiple assignments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with financial reporting tools (Cognos TM1 and SAP a plus)
Required Education
- Bachelor’s Degree earned and enrolled/completed in a graduate studies program or MBA with an business, finance or strategy concentration

Must be enrolled in a college/university graduate program or completed a graduate degree within the past 18 months

Must be at least 18 years of age

Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.

Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Program Dates: The approximate dates are Jan 25 – May 28, 2021. Interns will work 40 hours per week and must be fully available throughout the internship.
Work Environment: This is a remote internship. The internship requires a working computer, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated work space.
