The Technology and Innovation Internship – Experience Design is a 10-week program that provides future leaders of Truist with a strong foundation within technology and design, and the financial services industry as a whole. The program provides high performing students with an opportunity to develop their leadership and technical skills and work on innovative projects and assignments within Enterprise Design.
The Experience Design (XD)team is responsible for taking complex problems and transforming them into world class client experiences for our digital products.

Education: Program Participants will have professional development opportunities and tailored technical training.
Experience: The program prepares and develops future leaders with a comprehensive understanding of technology and access to work on innovative projects and assignments across Enterprise Design.
Exposure: The Program provides unique exposure to executive leadership, peers, mentors and teammates within the bank.
Design Innovation Internship Overview
Program Participants will work on innovative projects and assignments within the XD team and will gain experience within our distinct disciplines of Experience Design (UX/UI), User Experience Research, Service Design and Inclusive Design (ADA/Accessibility).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
Translate user needs and business requirements into compelling experiences
Create user flows, wireframes and interactive prototypes where needed to communicate design across a variety of devices and interfaces
Clearly communicate design rationale and back it up
Incorporate Truist branding standards and guidelines, and digital design system into all design work
Collaborate with project team members to incorporate creative content and feedback into work
Review and provide feedback on time estimates, project requirements and specifications
Support UX Research on existing and emerging digital technologies to improve knowledge and workflow efficiency
Work closely with the Digital Product and Enterprise Technology development teams to ensure features are implemented as intended and meet design quality, accessibility and usability expectations
Education and General Requirements for the internship: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability necessary for the program. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
BA/BS degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, User Experience, Industrial Design, Architecture, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction or related field
Demonstrated knowledge in the following: user centered design (UCD), information architecture (IA), content strategy, user research, prototyping, usability testing
Mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite of design tools (XD, Photoshop, Illustrator)
Basic understanding of CSS/HTML
Familiarity of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0)
Experience participating in technical projects
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong initiative and leadership skills
Enthusiasm for a career in financial services
General knowledge of the financial services industry
Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree (average GPA of 3.0+)
Willingness to travel
Ability to relocate to Charlotte, Atlanta or Raleigh for the program
