SUMMARY:
The Product Management Internship is a year-long opportunity for a University student to further her/his education with active learning while being exposed to the Tyson Foods culture and environment. The intern will have an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in running a business and what’s required to launch new products and maintain existing products. The intern will run reports and learn to act based on the reported data. Project Management including data entry into the various internal systems and projects like PDM and TANGO will be a big part of this position. The intern team member will work with and learn from cross functional partners including Sales, R&D, Pricing, Regulatory, Production Planning, Specs and Labeling, and Finance. In addition to the day to day tasks, the intern will work on special projects like data analysis of consumer trends and how to use the data to make informed strategic decisions. These tasks and projects provide the building blocks toward potential full-time employment after graduation.
- This position is located in Springdale, AR with a combination of remote and on-site work. This is a year-round internship with the selected candidate expected to work 40 hours during the summer and 15-20 hours during the school year.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Incoming junior, senior, or MBA with at least one year of school remaining (Business or Agricultural Science majors preferred).
Experience: Previous work experience in any field.
Computer Skills: Strong computer skills with a working knowledge of Excel familiarity with Access Word and PowerPoint.
Supervisory: None
Special Skills: Ability to multitask; motivated self-starter.
