Job Description

Underwriters are responsible for the selection and pricing of new business risks in accordance with company service promises, objectives, underwriting guidelines and team fundamentals. Qualified candidates will focus on developing and maintaining relationships with customers in order to enhance our ability to achieve company goals. Community is an important aspect of this position so it is important for this individual to understand and be able to articulate Company and Team Stories to Customers, as well as train and coach other underwriters as assigned. Candidates must be positive, self-motivated team players with strong analytical skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

Minimum Requirements: College degree or equivalent industry experience.

Candidate must be able to travel overnight to assigned territories and customers as required. Team members typically travel 10-12 times per year.
