Product Manager Intern, Cloud Data Protection
About the role
Veritas Product Manager represent thevoice of the customer and the market, managing the product through the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing requirements, assessing the competitive landscape, and making sure that the product and marketing efforts support the overall company and product’s strategy and goals.
As a Product Manager Intern, Cloud Data Protection, you will have the opportunity to join a team of highly experienced Product Managers working in a cross functional, diverse, global team who are at the leading edge of bringing next generation distributed multicloud data protection software to market. In this role you will leverage and extend your business and technical acumen to assess, define and deliver tools, insights and analysis that will assist go-to-market teams in customer value realization.
Responsibilities
- Assess cloud data protection competitive landscape
- Assess cloud data protection total cost of ownership factors
- Gather feedback and requirements from cross functional teams – product, technical field enablement, technical sales, sales, customers.
- Deliver detailed competitive analysis, servicing internal product, technical field enablement, technical sales and sales teams.
- Deliver detailed total cost of ownership evaluation criteria and tooling to enable customers, technical sales and sales teams.
Requirements
- MBA in progress(1st yr)
- Former Undergrad/BS preferred in business administration, computer engineering/science or related field.
- Preferably 1-3 years of product management in building and shipping enterprise software product. Enterprise level IT solution, architecture or consulting experience also a plus/alternative.
- Established cloud computing knowledge: AWS, Azure, Google, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS.
- Business data analytics acumen
- Technical analytics acumen, preferably Python
- Communication & presentation skills – peer through executives.
