Position assists Accounting Manager with day-to-day accounting duties, preparation of financial statements and reconciliation to the general ledger. Refers matters outside their scope of duties to the Accounting Manager.
Reconcile fixed asset activity to the general ledger; prepare adjusting journal entries as needed. Reconciles fixed asset system to general ledger.
Reconcile and post insurance expense amortization from prepaid accounts. Reconciles balance sheet to GL and investigates items to ensure expense is accurate.
Prepare clear, organized account analysis of all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
Maintain account reconciliation of various fixed asset work in process and clearing accounts.
Assist in the audit of subsystem interfaces to the general ledger (fixed assets, leases)
Assist in the preparation of year-end audit.
Manage leases for entire company on lease software and ensure reconciles to our expense on GL.
Books and reconciles all capital and operating lease accounts.
Perform other duties and functions as directed and/or requested.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum 2 years of general accounting experoence.
Knowledge of accounting, budgeting, auditing & cost control principles, theory & regulations.
In-depth knowledge of accounting and financial reporting systems.
