Actuarial Opportunity Internship Program
We are looking for candidates interested in exploring an actuarial career! Our Actuarial Opportunity Internship is a 2-year program thatprovides rising juniors that are studying Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Finance or Economics exposure to the actuarial career and an opportunity to become familiar with Zurich’s company operations, our business objectives and actuarial methodologies, all while building a network of business professionals.
The Actuarial Opportunity Internship Program schedule is full-time during summer months, transitioning to part-time during the academic year. Students may be expected to work from a Zurich office location for a portion of the summer but will work virtually during the academic year. Upon successful graduation from undergraduate program, participants may be offered a full-time position as an Actuarial Analyst I.
As a participant in the Actuarial Opportunity Internship Program, you will work directly with experienced actuaries to gain hands on, real world application of actuarial principles. You will have the support, guidance and supervision of a mentor. Assignments may include assisting with pricing studies, profitability reviews, calculating premiums or reserves for new or existing products, performing research and other statistical analyses in support of Zurich’s business strategies. Throughout your experience, you will have the opportunity to showcase key projects by presenting overviews of your work to your peers, leaders and other members of Zurich’s actuarial community.

Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Finance or Economics
Completed two years of college coursework (must be a rising Junior at the start of the Actuarial Opportunity Internship Program)
Cumulative GPA of at least 2.8 (on a 4.0 scale)
