Congrats Tracy on your internship with Tesla!

Let’s give a big shout out to Tracy Dong, an MBA student studying Supply Chain Management at Bauer, for obtaining an internship at Tesla as a Supply Chain Intern!

We asked Tracy, who is currently in California at the Tesla Headquarters, about how she landed the position:

“I got the internship when an alumni from Bauer held a recruiting session on campus, and it was really great that Rockwell and Dr. Miller were able to set the event up and have the Tesla team come down. I met Naman, who was a Global Supply Manager in the Capital Expenditures division, and we connected on LinkedIn. I messaged him and sent my resume, and we had a casual phone interview. After that, it lead to a couple more phone interviews with Group Managers from his team, and I was offered the internship within a week! It pays off to meet recruiters, show your interest and passion, and make yourself known.”

Tracy, tell us how it’s going!

“How it’s been so far? Well, it’s been an absolute whirlwind of craziness. As an intern at Tesla, they treat you as if you’re a full time member on the team, so right from the start, you’re diving head-first into projects, interacting with stakeholders and suppliers, and take on a lot of responsibility. Things move very quickly here, so you learn to adapt, think on your feet, and maximize your own productivity. The best part is that you get to work on really exciting projects, and the exposure you get from the projects allows you to make an impact not only on the company, but hopefully for the world as well. Tesla has a super strong mission that is felt throughout the company and it’s very inspiring to be around like-minded, talented, and driven people!”

Sounds like she is having an awesome time! Congrats again Tracy! Can’t wait to hear all about it once you get back.
