For Information Sessions and On-Campus Recruiting at the Rockwell Career Center, we recommend parking at the East Garage or Welcome Center Garage.

 


If traveling from Hobby Airport or South of UH Campus: 

  1. Follow I-45 N to Gulf Fwy. Take exit 44A from I-45 N
  2. Take exit 44A toward Elgin – Lockwood/Cullen Blvd
  3. Continue on Gulf Fwy. Drive to TX-5 Spur S
  4. Turn left onto Ernestine
  5. Continue onto S Lockwood Dr
  6. Use the 2nd from the left lane to turn left onto TX-5 Spur S
  7. East Garage will be on your right.
  8. The Welcome Center Garage will be off of University Drive and MLK. Follow Spur 5 to University Drive and turn right. The Welcome Center Garage will be on the left on MLK.

If traveling from North of UH Campus: 

  1. Follow I-45 S. Take exit 44C toward Cullen Boulevard/ Elgin-Lockwood.
  2. Continue straight on feeder and Stay to the Right to TX-5 Spur S.
  3. Continue straight through light at Elgin.
  4. East Garage will be on your right.
  5. The Welcome Center Garage will be off of University Drive and MLK. Follow Spur 5 to University Drive and turn right. The Welcome Center Garage will be on the left on MLK.


East Garage

The street entrance to the UH East Garage is at 4233 Martin Luther King Blvd (or off of University Drive from Spur 5). 
*Note: Google Maps may want to take you to the TSU East Garage at 3341 Cleburne St, Houston, TX 77004. This is INCORRECT for the UH Campus.

To get to the Rockwell Career Center After Parking at the East Garage:

  1. Walk across the street towards campus. To your left: Melcher Hall is a three-story triangular black glass building.
  2. Cemo Hall is the two-story round beige brick building behind Melcher and Next to UCBB / Insperity Center.

Cemo Hall’s address is 4246 Martin Luther King Boulevard

The Welcome Center Garage will be off of University Drive and MLK. Follow Spur 5 to University Drive and turn right. The Welcome Center Garage will be on the left on MLK.

 

 

 

 

 

To get to the Rockwell Career Center After parking at the Welcome Center Garage: 

  1. Walk across the Street to the Student Center and through to the South Side OR to the right of the Student Center.
  2. Walk down the sidewalk. Melcher Hall (3 story building) will be to your right, UCBB / Insperity Center (5 story building) will be in front of you to the left.
  3. Cemo Hall is the two-story round beige brick building behind UCBB / Insperity Center and Next to Melcher Hall.
