Congrats Aiza, on your internship with Target!
Can you walk us through the steps you took to get this internship?
I met with the recruiters for Target at the Bauer Career Fair and then also attended the info session they hosted on campus. Familiarizing myself with the company atmosphere, goals and expectations prepared me for the series of interviews I had. I knew exactly what they were looking for, and I used that to my advantage by emphasizing most on the skills I had and that I also knew they were in search of.
If someone wants an internship like yours, what advice would you give them?
During the month-long recruiting process, I realized that knowing how to showcase your skill set is almost as important as having it. Utilize the RCC and sign up for as many mock interviews as you possibly can!
