HACU National Internship Program (HNIP) Application is due Feb. 12th

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) is seeking applicants for the 2021 sessions of the HACU National Internship Program (HNIP). This program offers students the opportunity to receive valuable work experience through paid internships at federal agencies and private corporations nationwide. Since 1992, HACU has coordinated more than 13,000 internship placements for students throughout the country. In 2020, our Association coordinated with partner agencies to offer virtual internships due to the pandemic. We will continue to adapt our program as needed to offer these important career development experiences.

The deadline for the 2021 summer session for students attending institutions on a regular calendar is February 12, 2021. The fall session deadline is June 4, 2021.

HACU matches a student’s career interests, educational background, and previous work or volunteer experience with the needs and demands of our federal and corporate partners. Students doing virtual internships receive emergency medical insurance, and a biweekly stipend, and attend an intern orientation. Throughout the internship, students also participate in professional development, networking, and cultural activities.

Partnering with federal agencies and leading corporations has opened the door of opportunities for the most talented students from member institutions leading to competitive internships and for some individuals, rewarding full-time hire opportunities.
