POSITION SUMMARY
The intern will be introduced to the Learning and Development function within the Environmental, Health, Safety and Security Department at CVR Energy. They will learn and participate in work to understand the role training plays in developing our employees in both the field and office environments. They will contribute to and be a valuable member of the Learning and Development Team.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- College student studying human resources, development, technology, or business who is in their Junior or Senior Year at an accredited College or University.
- Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Displays soft skills effectively and promotes teamwork.
- Out of the box thinking, problem solving, relationship building and interpersonal skills.
- Previous internships / work and/or coursework experience with learning and development.
- Awareness of adult learning theory and training methodology.
- Technical skills with Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, or Adobe Captivate.
- Technical skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Highly motivated, proactive, detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Fluent in English, both oral and written.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
During the course of the internship, the intern will participate in the following:
- Creates, uploads, and administers course content as assigned. May also develop the training programs with support from subject matter experts (SME), as assigned.
- Provides support for logistics, course development and design, delivery, and evaluation.
- Assists with the learning development to drive training initiatives. Identifies and arranges suitable training solutions. May create tools for testing and training evaluation.
- Develop multimedia visual aids, presentations, and web content using principles of adult learning and instructional design. May create written knowledge tests for course completions with input from subject matter experts or training developers.
- Monitor data entry, conduct training and coordinate/facilitate training on the LMS application
- Assist with implementation of standardized training processes and methods, as assigned.
EXPECTED RESULTS
Results or outcomes for which the job incumbent is responsible
- Develop courses for Instructor Led Training and eLearning within project timelines, as assigned.
- Assist with reporting of training metrics, as assigned.
- Assist with LMS Administration as, assigned.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
