Job Overview
Reporting directly to the Segment Vice President, Finance, the [Lead Finance] (Specialty Infrastructure) will serve as a key financial advisor to Division Vice President, Specialty Infrastructure and will be responsible for the accounting, financial reporting & controls, financial planning & analysis, operations, and commercial finance support for the Specialty Infrastructure businesses.
The Specialty Infrastructure SBU has experienced tremendous growth over the past several years through both organic growth and acquisitions. In 2023, the business recorded sales of ~$800M.
The Specialty Infrastructure SBU consists of businesses that primarily serve our non-Electric utility markets or provide specialized solutions. The SBU is comprised of the following:

Enclosures ($564M) – Lenoir City, TN, Rocky Mount NC, Chatsworth CA, Oklahoma City OK, Juarez MEX

HGUS ($197M) – Broken Arrow, OK, Corona CA, Oklahoma City, OK
-
Wildlife Mitigation ($37M) – Edmonton CAN, Riverside, CA, Foothills Ranch, CA
A Day In The Life
The successful candidate will serve as a key member of the Specialty Infrastructure leadership team and help execute the profitable growth strategy of the business as well as be a key member of the HUS finance team. In addition to leading and developing a team of approximately 12 finance and accounting professionals across the T&D components strategic business unit, an important aspect of this role is to partner with the various enterprise and segment shared service organizations to ensure accurate, timely, reliable financial accounting and reporting and a collaborative approach.
Overall Responsibilities for the Role:

Serve as a financial advisor and trusted business partner to the Division Vice President, Specialty Infrastructure, and the leadership team.

Partner with key stakeholders to work on and support the Specialty Infrastructure strategic plan.

Oversee all aspects of finance operations for the Specialty Infrastructure strategic business unit, including accounting, financial reporting & controls, financial planning & analysis, and operations and commercial finance.

Ensure proper design and operational effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting.

Lead and manage the annual financial planning process, as well as the monthly and quarterly forecasting process and monthly and quarterly financial closes.

Develop appropriate tracking methods and analytical models surrounding orders, revenue, margins, expenses, manufacturing production spending & variances, cash flow and other key performance measures.

Support and track ongoing productivity initiatives, capital expenditures, restructuring initiatives, strategic investments in new product innovation, as well as other key areas.

Support internal audit reviews as well as Hubbell’s integrated US GAAP audit and applicable statutory audits as needed.

Partner with the tax team to ensure compliance with tax laws and statutory regulations specific to the countries with sales and operations.

Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Accounting or Finance

CPA, CMA and/or MBA preferred
-
15+ years of finance and accounting positions of increasing responsibility

Supervisory / managerial experience
-
Demonstrates executive presence and proven ability to communicate efficiently and effectively across various levels of the organization.

Strong knowledge of technical accounting, cost accounting, financial reporting, financial modeling, financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting, and strategic planning, capital planning, productivity management

SAP experience a strong plus.

Self-reliant, excellent problem solver, results oriented

Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive

Strong analytical skills, advanced Excel skills, PowerPoint, Power BI data visualization experience

Strong written, verbal communications and PowerPoint presentation skills

Serve as champion for SAP implementations across the T&D Infrastructure businesses.

Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in a team environment

Must be flexible for travel as needed; estimate approximately 20% to 40% travel requirement.
