RISE, which stands for racial inclusion and social equity, is a part-time Fellowship Leadership Development Program at Marsh McLennan. The program provides MBA/Master’s Degree candidates and recent graduates who identify as Black, African-American, or Afro-Caribbean in the US, UK, and Canada with an enriching curriculum and tools to learn how to advocate for social justice within a business environment.
- As a RISE Fellow, you won’t just gain practical experience – you’ll dive headfirst into the heart of client challenges, propelling your professional growth to new heights as you become a catalyst for shifts in equity and inclusion.
- Experience an immersive social justice program, orchestrated by the John Lewis Centre for Social Justice at Fisk University – a beacon among the nation’s historical Black colleges.
- Unlock your innovation and problem solving skills. Working with your peers you will take on a project that addresses the program’s impact.

What you’ll experience
- The opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge of the clients, communities and industries we serve

- Mentorship and guidance from Marsh McLennan and National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA) leaders
- Alongside your peers, deliver a presentation on the programs impact, including how it helps shape our organization, clients, communities, and industry
Who we’re looking for
- Currently enrolled in, or a recent graduate of, an MBA/Master’s Program
- At least 3-5 years of relevant professional services experience advising clients on risk, strategy, and people
- Must identify as Black, African American, Afro Latinx, Afro Caribbean
- Ideally, located in one of our hub cities, inclusive of New York, Atlanta, Houston, Chicago, DC, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Toronto, and London
- Must be able to participate in all aspects of the program, committing to 8-10 hours a month,
- Must be and be eligible to work without the need of work sponsorship should full-time opportunities arise during or post program
