We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Procurement Intern to join our Procurement Office with a focus on Category Management. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the finalization of a category footprint for Print. These various aspects of procurement include defining the scope, supplier relationship management, data analysis, and internal/external market research.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Help evaluate and enhance the vendor management framework with view around Procurement tiering strategy and risk management approach

Assist in Category Analysis: Support the procurement team in conducting a comprehensive analysis of various spend categories including but not limited to market trends, supplier performance, and cost optimization opportunities.

Supplier Evaluation and Selection: Assist in evaluating potential suppliers, conducting due diligence, and participating in supplier selection processes to ensure alignment with organizational goals and standards.

Contract Management: Aid in contract review and management processes, including analyzing contract terms, identifying opportunities for improvement, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and regulations.

Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics tools to extract meaningful insights from procurement data, supporting decision-making processes and identifying areas for process improvement.

Project Support: Collaborate with the procurement team on special projects related to category management, process optimization, and other strategic initiatives as assigned.

Documentation and Reporting: Assist in maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and documenting procurement activities to support audit requirements and organizational transparency.

Finalize and present to leadership the learnings from the internship

All internships will be paid standard and competitive rates for undergraduate and graduate levels ($23 and $25 per hour respectively). Internships are expected to be full-time through the duration of the program.
What We’re Looking For:
Required:
-
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.

Any prior experience or exposure in Finance, Procurement or Supply Chain area (preferred but not required)

Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
