General Description:
The Operational Accounting – Intern will assist the accounting teams (corporate & project accounting) in preforming the day to day activities which including, but not limited to, the recording of general and administrative (G&A) expenses, intercompany, project development costs, fixed assets, reconciliation, inventory and cash activities. As part of this roe, the candidate will be exposed to the accounting life cycle of wind and solar projects.
Main Accountabilities:
- Record and analyze financial transactions by generally accepted accounting principles
- Coordinate multiple simultaneous projects and initiatives ensuring that the work products and processes meet the defined standards and objectives
- Maintain a system of intercompany invoicing and payments
- Accounting for development and construction projects
- Accounting for solar projects
- Record parent company-level fixed assets and depreciation
- Prepare reconciliations to properly support account balances
- Prepare required consolidating and eliminating journal entries
- Coordinate the reformatting of large quantities of data required for systems implementation projects
- Additional duties as required
Minimum Qualifications:
- Understanding of Microsoft products and/or complementing products preferred.
- Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise preferred.
