Job Description
Iowa Workforce Development (IWD) is seeking a highly motivated, talented, and resourceful individual to become our Grant Compliance Coordinator ( Workforce Program Coordinator) at our 1000 E Grand Ave., Des Moines, IA office.
In this position you will be assisting:

Analyzing data related to program coordination.
-
Establish program and policy objectives that contribute to accomplishing the strategic mission of Iowa Workforce Development.

Review and understand grant budget for compliance.

Update and maintain data tracking measures for both fiscal and programmatic review.

Strengthen active partnerships at the sate and local level with key stakeholders.

Analyze and interpret complex material such as government laws, regulations, and procedures.

Communicate and coordinate information to peers, stakeholders and between multiple departments, including Legal and Finance Divisions.
In this role as a Grant Compliance Coordinator, you will be an integral part of administering Iowa Workforce Development’s state and federal grants and awards. You will be responsible for providing general support for sub-recipient expense reimbursement, sub-recipient reporting requirements, and other general guidance for program managers along with receiving grant funds from Iowa Workforce Development.
The successful candidate, under the direct supervision of the Grants Program Bureau Chief, will be responsible for maintain grant compliance for various state and federal grant opportunities. You will review both past and current programmatic and financial documentation related to grant opportunities and close out processes to ensure compliance.
The Grant Compliance Coordinator will act as the lead monitor and compliance officer for all past and future grant awards administered by the bureau and validate submitted financial and programmatic documentation to ensure grant compliance.
You will coordinate with the Grant Team and provide assistance related to multiple grant opportunities with fluctuating compliance requirements and monitor updates of legislation as it pertains to grant opportunities. Review all grant policies and procedures to align with federal and state grant compliance guidelines.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
Graduation from an accredited four year college or university and experience equaling three years of full-time work involving employment interviewing, counseling, management, program planning, or occupational, budget, or labor market analysis;
OR
an equivalent combination of education and experience substituting one year of qualifying experience for each year of the required education to a maximum of four years;
OR
an equivalent combination of education and experience substituting graduate level course work in business or public administration, economics, planning or closely related areas for experience on the basis of 30 semester hours for each year of required experience to a maximum of two years;
OR
current employees of the Iowa Workforce Development Department can qualify with two years of full-time work involving employment interviewing, counseling, management, program planning, or occupational, budget, or labor market analysis.
