POSITION: Business Analyst Intern; Houston, TX Office
Secure ITAD Services, Inc is pleased to offer a summer position for M.S. students in the area of supply chain and operations for a continuation of a project that has already started. The BA will work hand in hand with the lead change specialist, WMS implementation teams, and lean transformation personnel with the goal of re-mapping the core business processes to better adhere to ESG compliance, lean manufacturing workflows, and present a corporate structure.
I. General Employment and Compensation*:
- Your scheduled start date is estimated at the conclusion of May’s school schedule. This is a temporary summer position, and the expected duration is approximately 10 weeks ending 8-9-24. You will report directly to Secure ITAD’s Lead Transformation Consultant, Jason Riddle. The general work hours for this position are 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, Between 8:30am-4:30pm.
- The Business Analyst position is a salaried position, with a weekly rate of $720 ($18 per hour)
- Secure ITAD processes payroll on a weekly basis.
II. Broad Preliminary Duties*:
This position will act in a liaison capacity, reviewing, analyzing, and developing improvements for selected business functions in the Operations and Supply Chain Management areas. The goal is to align people and technology with Secure ITAD’s business objectives and continuous improvement mission.
- Reviews and assesses current processes and workflow to identify and target areas in need of correction and improvement.
- After conducting analysis and making recommendations, works with Lead Transformation Consultant to organize and plan initiatives for business process reengineering implementation.
- Conducts change impact analysis to assess potential outcomes of change, with the goal of removing potential obstacles to minimize risk and promote the overall benefits of change initiatives.
- Provides training, mentoring, and coaching to engage staff and institutionalize process changes.
- Identifies opportunities for cost savings and business improvements in the supply chain process.
- Utilizes technology to develop a seamless Supply Chain Management Operation.
- Professionally documents training, statistical analysis, and process changes.
- Works in a manner that complies with the company’s quality standards.
