Responsibilities:
- Create an environmental strategy and deliver an operational plan that achieves compliance with current KDP and regulatory requirements and exceeds anticipated objectives.
- Lead all environmental sustainability efforts, including resource efficiency and waste elimination for energy & fuel use, CO2 emissions (SCOPE I, II, III), water usage, wastewater, transportable waste, and all material sustainability efforts for the Supply Chain organization.
- Lead the environmental pillar.
- Create and implement a company-wide plan for collecting, storing, validating, and communicating Environmental data, training, and communications.
- Champion specific programs/projects to drive efficient resource use and deliver sustainability objectives.
- Participate in the creation of training materials, procedures, and audit programs to help sites manage and lower hazards/risks.
- Conduct and report on assessments across all locations (regulatory and KDP compliance, efficiency, roadmap status/progression, cultural).
- Assist in the review and interpretation of regulations impacting the site and propose options for compliant processes and procedures.
- Deliver continual improvement, including new technology, techniques, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Participate in external government agency audits and follow up on concerns identified during audits.
- Support and maintain Incident Management process and activities and lead the network in capabilities to do the same; Expected to be available for emergencies 24/7.
- Create and manage ONEKDP KPI sustainability, generation/metering, monitoring, reporting, and overall communications of Environmental compliance, trending, and program management.
- Influence business units and colleagues to ensure policies are implemented and track improvements to business processes.
- Support engagement with external stakeholders, including NGOs and industry associations, to understand their expectations and concerns.
- Lead and support major health-related programs for the network with the support of the safety business unit leads.
- Implement and maintain ISO 14001 standards.

- Demonstrated expertise in planning, budgeting, and project management toward achievement of annual, long-term, and strategic business objectives.
- Complex problem solver, able to make the complex simple for enterprise alignment and engagement.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Proven ability to successfully lead large organizational change that achieves sustained technical, organizational, and cultural improvement.
- Strong analytical ability, capable of analyzing data and trends to create short, medium, and long-term strategies that drive appropriate investment, process improvement, and cultural change.
- Ability to make and deliver effective communications on controversial or complex topics to top management, large and small groups at all levels, internal and external.
- Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
- Proven ability to lead and own Information System solutions to develop, deploy, and integrate an Environmental Management System.
- Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
- Mandatory familiarity with environmental rules, regulatory, and permitting requirements.
- Preferred Yellow/Green/Black belt certification.
- BA/BS degree in a technical environmental field or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred Master’s Degree in Sustainability, Engineering, Business, Environmental Science, MBA, Education, Management, Science, or Environmental Studies.
- Ability to lead through influence across the network.
- Familiarity with technology and best-in-class practices for leadership-level environmental performance.
Experience:
- Previous Director-level experience preferred
- A minimum of 10 years of experience managing ESG, corporate social responsibility, and/or sustainability in a corporate setting
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience, 5 of which in a manufacturing capacity strongly preferred
- Multi-national operations experience in a managerial role, preferably in a matrix management structure
- Experience working in a complex corporate environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams
