Job Description
The Position
Organon Commercial Analytics & Insights team is currently seeking data science interns for the summer of 2024. The intern will have the opportunity to work on real-world data challenges and gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of pharmaceutical analytics. The position involves programming and analysis in support of marketing and sales activities, including prescribing and promotion tracking and assessment. The interns are responsible for providing analytical and technical support, which includes the collection and analysis of internal and external pharmaceutical data to assist in making meaningful business decisions.
Responsibilities

Assist in the design and development of data-driven models to derive insights and support business decisions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.

Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.

Clean, preprocess, and transform data to make it suitable for analysis.

Develop and implement machine learning algorithms and predictive models to solve business challenges and optimize commercial strategies

Create visualizations and dashboards to effectively communicate findings.
Required Education and Experience

Candidates must be currently enrolled in a BS program in a Quantitative discipline such as: Data Science, Management Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Management Science, or other relevant discipline.

Candidates must be available to work full-time for up to (12) weeks beginning in May or June of 2024.

Candidates are required to be in the Plymouth Meeting, PA office 2-3 times a week

Candidates must have an interest in supporting pharmaceutical product marketing and sales initiatives and the ability to apply and interpret basic quantitative results

Candidates must have practical experience with Python or R

Candidate should have taken, or currently taking, advanced statistics courses

Candidate must have technical experience in database structures, query languages, and structured programming languages as well as MS Office products (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint and Word)

Annualized Salary Range (US)
$37,900.00 – $64,500.00
