About The Team
The Core Analytics team group supports analytics needs through out all the major business units at Roku. The team exists to ensure Roku is utilizing data to build strategy & roadmaps as well as to ensure Roku makes the best decisions possible.
The team is a centralized analytics function that consists of data scientists and business intelligence engineers who exhibit the technical and business acumen necessary to utilize data strategically. They can quickly understand a range of highly technical problems and provide strategic insights for highly cross-functional groups including product managers, engineers, marketers, and sales professionals.
About The Role
This role will work closely with the Vice President of Analytics and his staff. The role will work with stakeholders across different business and functional teams. The ideal candidate is a proactive team player with a head for process, a strategic approach to problem solving, and can thrive in ambiguity. They will work quickly to understand priorities, develop and communicate a plan, prioritize appropriately, and deliver commitments on time. They will help key executions by tracking key dates and critical dependencies, working with cross-functional teams, and driving processes.
This role will have dedicated projects, timelines to deliver, and present to stakeholders throughout the internship.
For California Only – The estimated annual salary for this position is between $28 -55 per hour. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location. This role is eligible for health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.
What you’ll be doing
- Partner with multiple cross-functional teams to help identify and standardize data infrastructure roll-outs
- Identify problems and provide proposed solutions.
- Develop a “Data Office Hours” program to promote analytics capabilities and engagement through out the company
- Drive collaboration across multiple development areas to ensure alignment on priorities of the many cross-functional data initiatives
- Work with the VP of Analytics on polishing weekly leadership review processes
We’re excited if you have
- Currently pursing MBA
- Experience and/or knowledge of the functions of analytics teams.
- Experience working in consulting
- Have successfully managed projects from start to finish.
- Skilled communicator with good verbal, presentation, and written communication skills. Ability to succinctly communicate and facilitate project discussions.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects from start to finish. Must work well with little oversight, but also be aware of when/how to ask for assistance from senior team members or flag risks that need addressed.
- Keen prioritization skills and an ability to stay calm under pressure. Comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-changing environment.
- Experience with task-tracking systems and project management software is a plus.
