The Global Monetization Integrity team ensures TikTok users have a safe experience while viewing advertisements. They work closely with advertisers to create ad policies, manage content review processes, and more. As we continue to add advertising on TikTok, this team is critical in assuring a joyful and creative ads experience for the community.
We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2024. Internships at TikTok aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. Turn your ambitions into reality as your inspiration brings infinite opportunities at TikTok.
Internships at TikTok aim to provide students with hands-on experience in developing fundamental skills and exploring potential career paths. A vibrant blend of social events and enriching development workshops will be available for you to explore. Here, you will utilize your knowledge in real-world scenarios while laying a strong foundation for personal and professional growth. This Internship Program runs for 12 weeks beginning in May/June 2024. Successful candidates must be able to commit to one of the following summer internship cycles below:
1.May 20, 2024 to August 9, 2024
2.May 28, 2024 to August 16, 2024
3.June 10, 2024 to August 30, 2024
We will prioritize candidates who are able to commit to these start dates. Please state your availability clearly in your resume (Start date, End date).

Responsibilities
In this role you will:
1. Develop local tech advertising policies that align with global policy framework
2. Identify gaps and problem areas in policies and propose revisions
3. Partner with cross-functional teams including Policy leaders, Sales, Product and Legal to develop new advertising policies and enforcement criteria
4. Support advertising brand safety team by delivering training and conducting quality analysis to improve accuracy and efficiency
5. Establish early warning, prevention, and control of advertising and industry risks
6. Build and develop relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
7. Solve issues with considerable autonomy
Qualifications
1. BS/MS degree or equivalent work experience required
2. Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2024
3. Graduating December 2024 onwards with the intent to return to degree program after the completion of the internship
4. Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
5. Working knowledge of online advertising regulation policies and risk management
6. Understanding of the impact ad policy decisions have on advertisers and users
7. Experience using data and metrics to determine process improvements
8. Deep understanding of the digital landscape and passionate about TikTok product
9. Proven experience with creative advertising policies, advertising standards, or a related field (Preferred)
10. Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
